LOS ANGELES, June 29, 2007 – Yahoo! Music has selected California
foursome Great Northern to participate in their Who’s Next? promotion.
The voter-driven contest gives Yahoo! Music fans the opportunity to
vote for their favorite new musicians, with the winner becoming the
featured Who’s Next? artist, ultimately garnering major Yahoo! Music
placement. The user’s choice competition has become the springboard
for the band’s newly completed video, which accurately depicts the
dreamy nature of the band’s music. Voting can be done here:

Having just completed a cross-country run, the band will continue to
tour behind their debut LP, “Trading Twilight for Daylight” (Eenie
Meenie Records), for the remainder of the summer, this time alongside
The Comas.
Great Northern’s dreamy pop songs have incited rave reviews. Filter
Magazine called their debut, “An album that balances sincerity and
intimacy against the epic, the visceral and the cinematic,” while
Flaunt gushed, “They fit squarely into that Brian Wilson tradition,
lining their beautiful tunes with just the right amount of
