August Burns Red and Solid State Records are proud to announce that their new album Messengers has debuted at #81 on the Billboard Top 200!! August Burns Red sold over 9,000 copies of Messengers in the album’s first week.

August Burns Red’s thunderous and powerful new album is in stores and available online at www.the-messengers.net. The record was the highest-selling album at Best Buy on its release date, June 19.

August Burns Red has also traveled to the farmlands of Pittsburgh, PA to film a video for their song, “Composure.” For the video, the band called on Endeavor Media, the production company that has previously worked with Bayside, Comeback Kid, Becoming The Archetype, and Lovedrug.

Messengers, the second record to drop from the minds and hands of Lancaster, PA quintet August Burns Red is more than just a collection of 11 raging metal songs that ravage the ears of their listeners with technical skill and immense passion. The record is, in fact, not only a musical collaboration, but also a lyrical one, where every member of the band contributed to the lyrical content with their own thoughts, ideas and messages. Hence the record’s intriguing title.

The album ranges from the heavily throbbing, double-bass-driven “Composure” to the crushing “An American Dream,” a song that drags the listener along by vocalist Jake Luhrs’ callous screams and the band’s penchant for driving, metallic guitar riffs and intricate drum work. The complexity of August Burns Red’s songwriting is apparent throughout, a clear indication of a band with rabid ambition and a burgeoning talent for crafting tight, compelling songs. Longtime fans fear not, though; Messengers is still the product of the same intense band who continue to blow the minds of everyone lucky enough to witness their memorable live show.

Pick up Messengers, now in stores, or order it online at www.the-messengers.net, and keep an eye out for the “Composure” video, set to debut by the end of July. Be sure to see August Burns Red as they tour all summer long!
