Heavy, one of the web’s leading online brands and the leader for 18-34 year old guys, today announced a challenge to Sum 41’s fans:  shoot a video of you pulling a prank on one of your friends and send it to http://sum41.heavy.com for a chance to be Sum 41’s roadie at House of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 19th.  Sum 41’s “Road to Ruin” webisodes documenting the band’s time on the road will premier exclusively on Heavy.

“Sum 41 is a talented (and mischievous) band that has a knack for using online video to create an intimate relationship with their fans,” said Jason Marks, VP of Programming for Heavy.  “We think this a perfect opportunity to get fans involved in Heavy’s unique brand of engagement, and really spotlights the advantage for Sum 41 of partnering with Heavy, a site with original programming and a strong editorial voice—as opposed to just throwing their videos into a vast pool of undifferentiated content.”

Sum 41’s fans have until August 10th to upload their best prank videos to Sum 41’s page on Heavy at http://sum41.heavy.com/.  The winner will be announced on August 13th.  The winner will be flown by Heavy to Las Vegas for a two-night stay, where the winner’s day as a roadie will be documented in the next episode of “Sum 41: Road to Ruin.”
