Black Tide Kicked Off, Re-added to Ozzfest

As many of you might have heard Black Tide were recently removed from this years Ozzfest festival. The reason being, as MTVNews.com puts it:

“Black Tide, a young metal band from Miami that had been tapped to replace Circus Diablo on Ozzfest’s second stage, have now found themselves having to drop off the bill — without even playing a single note. As it turns out, the band is too young — the second stage is being sponsored by Jägermeister, and the group’s youngest member is only 14 years old”

When word of this hit the net, it did not sit too well with the fans. They proceeded to attack message boards across the internet with foul cries and complaints, and the bands Myspace page went from 50 views to 4000 in 2 days!

Sharon Osbourne heard those cries, and has decided to bring the band back to Ozzfest, this time however they will be opening the MAIN STAGE!

An impressive feat for a band this young, Black Tide will be sharing the stage with Lamb of God, Lordi and last but certainly not least, Ozzy Osbourne!

Their first date on the Ozzfest tour will be this Friday, August 10th, it the Chicago, IL stop of the tour.

After one listen to “Shockwave” which you can check out at their MySpace here: www.myspace.com/blacktide , there is no doubt that Black Tide deserves their spot on the Main Stage, and have the chops to prove it! Seriously these kids can rip!

Black Tide’s debut album will be released in early 2008.
