Hurley and Converse unite to present the 2007 “Radio Rebellion” Tour, a massive, twenty eight city North American trek that will showcase the cream of the crop of heavy music’s rising stars from points across the globe.  Co-headlining the tour will be Glendale, AZ extreme metal unit JOB FOR A COWBOY and Polish death metal troupe BEHEMOTH.

The highly-anticipated follow up to 2006’s successful package tour of the same name, this year’s planned jaunt sees the “Radio Rebellion” Tour upping the ante, especially in regards to the ‘heaviness factor’, as the tour will grandstand two of underground metal’s most talked about rising artists in BEHEMOTH and JOB FOR A COWBOY.  Support on the extreme expedition will be provided by highly regarded French band GOJIRA and Canadian technical death metal quartet BENEATH THE MASSACRE.  The tour’s official admat can be viewed at this location.

JOB FOR A COWBOY, who has seen a meteoric ascent unparrelled in recent metal history, will continue to tour in support of its debut full-length album “GENESIS”.  Referred to as “the most anticipated debut release from a metal band in years”, “GENESIS” debuted at # 54 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart this past May, shifting nearly 13,000 units in it’s first week of release and joined the initial releases from Stone Sour and Damageplan (which featured members of Slipknot and Pantera respectively) amongst the highest charting metal debuts to crack Billboard’s Top 200 since SLIPKNOT’s 1999 self-titled album.  Additionally. the band has earned a landslide of recent accolades including being named “Best Underground Band” at the 2007 Metal Hammer “Golden Gods Awards”, one of Total Guitar’s “Hottest Guitar Bands of 2007”, one of Alternative Press’ 2007 “Bands You Need to Know” and one of Revolver’s “Breakthrough Bands that will be Kicking Your Ass this Year”.

Ozzfest breakthrough artists BEHEMOTH are extremely proud to be a part of the “Radio Rebellion” tour, which is the perfect follow up to their highly successful summer run.  The tour affords the band the opportunity to perform a longer set in more intimate settings, ultimately providing fans with “the definitive BEHEMOTH experience”.  This is also a chance for the band to perform an array of songs from their highly acclaimed new offering, “The Apostasy”, which debuted at #149 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.  While most bands struggle to evolve and stay vital within the extreme music genre, BEHEMOTH has managed to do so effortlessly. “The Apostasy” is destined to continue their legacy.

“We’ve toured U.S. ten times during last few years but we almost never had a chance to headline our own shows,” BEHEMOTH main man Nergal states.  “These last few years have been about working our asses off in order to establish our name and build a solid foundation, and now it will finally pay off.  It’s high time for us to come back to North America and show our fans what a Behemoth set with full production can be.  I love all the bands that are joining us as there is a lot of quality and variety on the bill.  I’m thrilled to tour with Gojira and Job for a Cowboy is phenomenal!  Extremely talented band.  I can’t think of a better company for us. We’re bringing all our lights, a full stage production, and will be delivering at least an hour long set.  We’ll be playing old stuff as well as songs from “The Apostasy”.  The Radio Rebellion Tour is going to be massive!  See you there my friends!”

On the topic of the tour, JOB FOR A COWBOY founding member Ravi Bhadriraju comments, “To be a part of a tour along side some of the best acts from around the world is awesome.  Behemoth, Gojira and Beneath the Massacre are all from different countries and are all amazing bands.  This will be the heaviest tour of the fall!  We’re excited and ready to hit the road yet again.  All of you Job for A Cowboy fans can expect a show that will be worth your while.  Look out!”

In addition to Hurley and Converse, “Radio Rebellion” 2007 tour sponsors include Revolver Magazine, Smartpunk, Metal Blade Records, Ferret Music and Prosthetic Records.  “Radio Rebellion” Co-Founder Stewart Teggart comments, “We are very excited to launch this year’s ‘Rebellion Tour’.  It will be ‘Radio Rebellion’ in the truest sense as we’ve assembled four of the most extreme bands in heavy metal.  Each band on the tour this year hail from a different country and all of them have their own unique way of delivering brutally heavy music.  If you are a fan of Metal, this tour is not to be missed!  Radio Rebellion will be the microphone for the youth by delivering what the fans want to see and hear which is why sponsors with a similar frame of mind have been chosen to help support the tour.”
