Chicago’s indie-rock sensation STATE AND MADISON have announced the release of their brand new EP CONSIDER THIS A CONFESSION, available now through CDBaby.com, with the digital release to follow on October 30 to download outlets including iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, and many others. The release follows the group’s 2006 effort Simplicity Is The Name Of The Game and showcases the organic musical growth and development of the four-piece through their non-stop writing, recording, and touring over the last year.

STATE AND MADISON—who is Nickolas Blazina (vocals/guitar), Jonah Kort (drums), Anthony Martino (bass/vocals), and Mark Tatara (guitar/vocals)—were bound in 2005 by their mutual affinity and passion for a wide range of musical genres. With an organic and honest approach to delivering artful rock to the masses, STATE AND MADISON have consistently forged ahead in the Chicago music scene including highlighted performances at the Metro, Beat Kitchen and Schuba’s along with Chicago’s Mobfest naming them “One of Q101’s Top 10 Bands To See.” Q101’s own Chris Payne has even described the band as “a musical tour de force.”

In addition to the new EP, STATE AND MADISON will return to The Beat Kitchen on October 6 to bring their second annual “Fall Formal’ to the city of Chicago. Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the rock’n’roll show will transform into a formal gathering, as fans sing, dance and mosh along in their finest gowns and tuxedos. Supporting State And Madison at the event is Danger Is My Middle Name, Last Fast Action, and The Noise FM. The show starts at 5:30PM and tickets are on sale now at www.beatkitchen.com.

Prepare to confess to STATE AND MADISON as their infectious pop sensibilities, artful rock and dance-infused rhythms invade your stereo with CONSIDER THIS A CONFESSION.
