Austin Music Award-winning troubadour Bob Schneider returns to the road and takes to the skies on his upcoming fan-titled tour “Songs Sung & Played On The Guitar With People In The Room Tour” beginning November 1 at the Rhythm Room in Phoenix with special guest AM. Bob has recorded a live solo acoustic album named after the tour for his legion of dedicated fans available online and for download. Also expect to see a double disc worth of new material on the candidly titled Fuck All You Motherfuckers, a rock opera, out in December. Bob will also record every performance on the tour, burning copies after the shows onto double discs with limited edition CD packaging created specifically for the tour called “Frunks”- fresh and funky live shows.

Schneider’s musical approach as a solo artist has proven as eclectic as the diverse musical styles of his former bands — a little bit singer/songwriter, a whole lot of bits and pieces of funk, country, rock, and folk. His scruffy good looks and strong, husky voice provide a good complement to his semi-confessional songwriting and his music is redolent of singer/songwriters of the ’70s from Neil Young to Paul Simon, with a slightly more modern musical sensibility reminiscent of Beck.

Nothing is sacred in the mind of Bob Schneider. Case in point, his upcoming indie release, a gritty and gothic 24-song compilation entitled Fuck All You Motherfuckers, which will be available as a digital/online release and exclusively on tour– just in time for the holidays.

But what is close to Bob’s heart are his legion of dedicated fans and their opinion counts. To name his fall tour, Bob let his fans submit ideas. The winner is the aptly titled “Songs Sung & Played on The Guitar With People In The Room (an intimate acoustic concert with Bob Schneider)”. Runners up include the saucy titles “Better Then A Greasy Fishcock Tour” and “Never Enough BS Tour” as well as the matter-of-fact entry “Somebody’s Gotta Do The Job, So It Might As Well Be Me Tour” and the playful “The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour.”

After an airplane crash left him weary of planes, Bob chose to take a break from flying and focused on touring the United State an average of 200 days a year – both solo and with a live band. However, Bob has announced he is flying again and plans on touring the world in 2008 including Australia, Japan, and the UK for the very first time.

When Bob is not making music or performing, he continues to create art through designing his own album covers, packaging, posters, and T-shirts, while also showcasing his fine art at galleries across the country. Expect new music very soon, with a live album and DVD and another major record to be released in the spring of 2008.
