Darker My Love has been hard at work in a Los Angeles studio, joined by producer Dave Cooley, the man behind label mates Silversun Pickups’ debut (Mickey Avalon, J Dilla). The follow up to the band’s self-titled debut LP will be released in summer 2008 on Dangerbird Records.

The group’s dark, psychedelia will anchor Wall of Sound rockers The Warlocks this fall on tour. The coast-to-coast run kicks off October 30 in Texas and will be the first chance for audiences to get a taste of what the band has been cooking up in the studio. To coincide with the tour, Dangerbird Records has made the band’s 2006 self-titled debut full-length available for free download on the label’s newly relaunched site [www.dangerbirdrecords.com].

Darker My Love, comprised of Andy Granelli (The Distillers), Rob Barbato, Jared Everett and Tim Presley (Nerve Agents), continue the great tradition of feedback-filled rock ‘n’ roll like their forefathers The Velvet Underground and Jesus and Mary Chain. URB calls their music “uptempo acid rock at a furious pace,” adding, “you better believe that there are daggers and shards of glass flying out with the daisies on Darker My Love’s hallucinogenic guitar benders.”
