Farewell will premiere their first video, “First One On the Blog,” off of their Epitaph debut Isn’t This Supposed to be Fun!? via Myspace Video on October 10th. Directed by the Endeavor Media Group (Bayside, Silverstein, Comeback Kid), the video perfectly showcases both the band’s high energy brand of powerpop and rollicking sense of fun, as we follow Marshall, Wil and the rest of the guys to school one day.

Filmed at Slippery Rock University, a frighteningly idyllic institution just outside of Pittsburgh, PA, “First One On the Blog” pokes fun at the establishments that co-opt youth culture and turn kids into clones with classes like “Blogging 101,” where the finer points of pimping a social networking page are taught. With just a slip of something interesting into the principal’s coffee, Farewell take over the school, disruption replaces discipline and rock n roll hilarity ensues.

Farewell’s Epitaph debut Isn’t This Supposed to be Fun!? has been enthusiastically received by fans and critics alike. AbsolutePunk.net raves, “Isn’t This Supposed to be Fun!? does a wonderful job of twisting rock, pop and synth together to make for a very enjoyable listen.” Farewell’s lead singer Marshall Davis states, “we want to bring that care-free feeling back to music and get everyone to uncross their arms and sing along.” And the “First One On the Blog” video does just that. Called “ridiculously catchy” by Emotional Punk, “First One On the Blog” will cure any back to school blues.
