Saturday Looks Good To Me News

Saturday Looks Good To Me is hitting the road in support of their newest album “Fill Up The Room”, which finds it’s official release date on October 23rd. The record is the band’s fourth long player and first for K Records, and has been in the works for the better part of 3 year’s since 2004’s “Every Night” on Polyvinyl. The wait has been killing us, but now it’s time to shine. SLGTM will be playing a week’s worth of shows with K labelmates The Blow, as well a a brief midwestern run with friends Mason Proper and scattered shows with High Places, Old Time Relijun, Octopus Project and many others.

Trying to treat every show more like a record release party than just another show, the band has different sets and surprises planned for different cities and shows. This includes vastly different sets every night, a special tour-only recording, special guests and even the recording of a live album at the Chicago shows, complete with a call for online requests from fans.

Known for their shifting band membership and a dramatic contrast between their frenetic live show and more subdued recorded work, this tour promises a new era for the band, as the material on “Fill Up The Room” has found Saturday finally finding the delicate balance between studio project and live band, and exploding both on record and on stage in staggered fits of fuzz, melody, hushed choruses, weird found sounds and expansive pop joy.
