Ben Jelen’s “Where Do We Go” Gets Animated

Custard releases the animated version of recording artist Ben Jelen’s video single “Where Do We Go” exclusively online. The ‘animatic’ video is directed by L.A. based director and animator Sean Donnelly whose commercial resume includes projects for Scion, Microsoft, VH1, TiVo, The Spinto Band, Galactic and Angela McClusky among others.

Unfiltered, loose and raw, this animated adaptation of “Where Do We Go” is a sequence of stream-of-conscious live sketches set to the pop-friendly tune about claustrophobic hearth aches. It’s quick, rough, cathartic, and maniacally animatic! Check it out below and get tripped out:

Ben Jelen’s sophomore release ex-sensitive is now available in stores through Linda Perry’s Custard label. Jelen is the first artist release for 2007 from Custard, home to multi-platinum selling “You’re Beautiful” singer James Blunt. Jelen recorded the tracks for the album with producer/label head Linda Perry who also mixed the majority of the songs in addition to two mixes from famed producer Bill Bottrell (Shelby Lynne, Tom Petty, Rosanne Cash, Elton John).

Ben has recently performed at Bonnaroo Music Festival, the Virgin Festival, CMJ Music Marathon and opened for Pete Yorn on his recent summer tour as well as co-headlined with rapper Common at St. John’s University in NY.
