Highly respected hard rock / metal powerhouse CLUTCH will kick off a North American co-headlining tour alongside progressive rock unit Coheed and Cambria in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The month-long trek will conclude on November 29 in NYC.

Inarguably one of heavy music’s most recognizable bands, CLUTCH has constantly evolved, always set standards and never followed trends, resulting in a strong succession of first-rate, engrossing hard rock albums. Impossible to categorize, CLUTCH has accumulated a massive, devoted following over the course of its career thanks to its gargantuan rock n’ blues stomp, releases characterized by intelligent wordplay, exemplary musicianship and subtle humor and an ambitious touring schedule second to none.

CLUTCH is touring in support of its latest full-length release, From Beale Street to Oblivion (DRT Entertainment). The critically-acclaimed album has met to shining praise in the months following its March, 2007 release. Produced by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, The Melvins), the release has been hailed as “the band’s finest hour.”

CLUTCH features vocalist / instrumentalist Neil Fallon, guitarist Tim Sult, bassist Dan Maines, organist Mick Schauer and drummer / percussionist Jean-Paul Gaster.

“bare-bones rock rooted in the glorious grimy tradition of bands like the MC5 and Mountain… a non-stop onslaught of meaty, manly grooves that grind with a suave insistence… Clutch has the musical muscle to keep its heady tunes on track” – ROLLING STONE

“Like a machine whose design was perfected in prototype, this Maryland band’s sound — a taut funk-metal with big, tough Black Sabbathesque riffs and barked vocals — has barely changed since its debut in 1993, nor should it.” – THE NEW YORK TIMES

“The wizened Maryland quintet’s sound and visual aesthetic is very Erudite Lumberjack, muscular stoner-metal in conception, but avoiding the style’s penchant for empty-riff, slack-jawed vapidity. This is lucid, literate, wry, visceral stuff, with a vicious blues swing” – VILLAGE VOICE
