New York songstress Ingrid Michaelson has been selected as VH1’s next artist “You Oughta Know”, making her the first unsigned artist to be featured in the high-profile program. The station will also debut the Autumn de Wilde-directed video for her radio charting single “The Way I Am” .
Since its physical release through Original Signal/RED on September 18th, Girls & Boys has charted on the Billboard Top 200 multiple times and topped the Heatseekers chart in mid-October. Digitally, The Way I Am has sold in excess of 180,000 copies on iTunes and to date, peaked as the #4 most downloaded single.
Ingrid recently wrapped a U.S. tour with Matt Nathanson and will return to New York City for a sold out homecoming at the Knitting Factory on November 16th with a second date added at the Bowery Ballroom on December 19th.
Ingrid Michaelson is on tour through the end of the year.
