ChicagoÂ’s Russian Circles have just signed to Seattle-based Suicide Squeeze records. In addition to changing labels, the band has experienced a change of members: bassist Colin DeKuiper is no longer in the band, and former Botch/current These Arms Are Snakes bassist Brian Cook is temporarily filling the position for recording purposes. Drummer Dave Turncrantz and guitarist Mike Sullivan remain as core members.

The band is currently working with producer Matt Bayles (Minus the Bear, Isis, Mastodon) on the recording of their follow-up to 2006Â’s Enter, on Flameshovel Records. The new full-length is tentatively planned for a release in spring or summer Â’08.

In the meantime, Russian Circles are playing three shows each with Cook filling in on bass: one in Seattle, WA at NeumoÂ’s on November 29th, one at the Double Door in Chicago on December 13th, and then again on December 15th in Austin, at EmoÂ’s, Jr.
