First off, this zine is fabulous. I don’t know exactly how old Ashley is, but I have pinned her down into being older than 15.  This is another of the zines that I really like because it is written from a totally different perspective than about 90% of the zines being written out there today. This is not a zine that focuses on all what is politically correct, or whatever minority group we will count as oppressed today, or what issues are most important. This is life how the vast majorities of people live, and this is not a bad or uninformed way to live, as many of the zinesters would like us to believe. Ashley knows about the issues all the holier-than-thou zinesters feel powerful about, so what? While this zine is just too short (I want more!) this shows someone that is actually happy with herself and someone who actually looks at the bright side of life most the time. These are the zines that people should really have me read more often. I know they are being produced, but most do not get out of the cities that they are published in, and as a result, I never see them. Ashley’s writing style is realistic and it truly seems as if I know her a little bit better from her writings, which themselves sound as if she is talking to me directly. Absolutely fabulous! I hope she has finished some other issues. Send her fifty cents or a good trade to Ashley Hopkins, 15175 Metcalf Ave, Stanley KS 66223-2807.
