I picked up this zine a long time ago at an infoshop in Lansing, Michigan (this would mean probably March of 2002). I finally read through it now, and the zine is okay, pretty much standard for a submission based magazine. Tons of poetry litter this publication, almost a 60/40 distribution, which makes this zine pretty hard to go through without getting tired with it. What really helps this magazine pull itself from total obscurity is the presence of a comic that looks as if it was stolen directly from a website, called “Fetus-X”. In a magazine where the writing seems culled from seemingly anyone that submitted, something that is merely average, like this comic, seems like it was written by Berke Breathed or Gary Trudeux. The story placed in the magazine about the twin Mr. Andersons reads like a third-rate Amazing Stories or Twilight Zone story, and the ignoranch seems like something where the effete editors can bash anyone at all they feel like. All and all, the magazine seems slapdash and not really anything that should be perpetuated. There seems to be written desire by the editors to continue this zine, so there might be some other issues of this magazine. Check them out instead of bothering with this issue.
