SCIENCE RECORDS ANNOUNCES ITS LATEST ADDITIONS TO ROSTER:     

BEAT UNION, GREELEY ESTATES, CONFIDE AND COVETTE

 

Science Records, home to such breakout bands as Blessthefall, The Confession and The Dear and Departed has added an impressive array of bands to its already stellar roster, including: Birmingham, UKÂ’s Beat Union  (www.myspace.com/beatunion), PhoenixÂ’s Greeley Estates (www.myspace.com/greeleyestates), Los Angeles’ Confide (www.myspace.com/confide) and Temecula, CA’s Covette (www.myspace.com/covette), all of whom will have releases in 2008.

Having crossed over the pond from the UK to Los Angeles, the four-piece (singer/guitarist Dave Warsop, guitarist Dean Ashton, bassist Ade Preston and drummer Luke Johnson), all childhood friends, is currently recording its debut album with John Feldmann of Goldfinger fame.  Beat Union has toured the UK with Taking Back Sunday, Goldfinger, Bedouin Soundclash, Hit the Lights, and Alexisonfire. Touted by Metal Hammer and Kerrang!, look for the band to tour stateside with Bedouin Soundclash starting in late January (dates tba.)

Back with a new lineup and an even harder sound, Greeley Estates (singer Ryan Zimmerman, guitarist Brandon Hackenson, drummer Brian Champ and new members bassist Joshua Ferguson and guitarist Alex Torres) is currently putting the finishing touches on its upcoming release tentatively titled Go West Young Man, Let the Evil Go East with producer Cory Spotts (Job For a Cowboy, Blessthefall, Stiletto Formal) at the helm. The release will be in stores March 2008. With numerous tours under their belts, including Warped Tour 2005 and 2006, Rockstar Taste of Chaos 2006, Story of the Year 2006, Myspace Tour 2006, the band just wrapped a headlining tour with Farewell and labelmates Confide.

Recently on tour with Greeley Estates, Confide (singer Ross Kenyon, guitarist Jeff Helber, bassist Billy Pruden and drummer Arin IIejay) is a band that wears its heart and faith on its sleeve and will record its debut release at Hurley Studios in Costa Mesa.

Currently on tour with In Fear and Faith, Covette (singer/guitarist Shayley Bourget, guitarist Sebastian Kerravcic, bassist Jordan Wooley and drummer Raul Martinez) recorded its full-length debut, our in early 2008, at Hurley Studios with Producer Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Zebrahead, Silverstein). Songs from the upcoming album, some written with Jonah Matranga (Far, Onelinedrawing, Gratitude), have been featured in Hurley’s “Sound and Vision” surf video, Hurley’s Spring 2008 fashion show, and will be featured in an upcoming ad campaign for the new Toyota Sequoia.
