International superstar Nelly Furtado serves up her music live, performing a collection of her most popular songs to date on LOOSE THE CONCERT, a DVD and a CD, both confirmed for release Dec. 4 on Geffen Records.

Recorded and filmed on her 2007 Get Loose World Tour, the DVD features 17 songs from her set list (including a cover of Gnarls Barcley’s “Crazy— previously not released in the U.S.), plus 30 minutes of documentary footage. The CD version offers live recordings of 11 songs.

Furtado is 2006-2007’s biggest selling female recording artist worldwide. Her third album, LOOSE, has been certified gold or platinum in 31 countries with global sales surpassing seven million to date. LOOSE was released June 20, 2006, debuting at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album also earned the #1 slot twice on the Billboard European Top 100 chart.

In addition to dominating charts around the globe, Furtado, already a Grammy winner, has been much celebrated for her work on LOOSE. She garnered her fifth Grammy nomination, a Billboard Music Award, a sweep of five awards at the Canadian Juno Awards, Best International Female Artist at the Brit Awards, a Teen Choice Award and was nominated for Female Artist of the Year at MTV’s Video Music Awards. She took home the “Album of the Year” trophy at MTV’s European Music Awards in London earlier this month,

“This Nelly Furtado thing has hit a whole ‘nutha level,” the Toronto Star praised the Get Loose Tour.

“For the last eight years I’d never really traveled with a full production of lights, visuals and dancers,” said Furtado who was backed by four dancers and a six-piece band for this outing. “But this tour I had all of it, which was a real treat.”
