Lazuright – you may think, what the hell is that? Well, it’s just a band name. You may think they sound very American! But as a matter of fact, this band comes from the very heart of south Germany. To be precise from Tuttlingen – a small town in the middle of nowhere!
In 2004 they record their first album. It’s a home recording session, far away from any studio quality. Nevertheless, the scene senses already the potential in it and everybody knows that these guys won’t stop.
In 2005 they take part in the world’s biggest newcomer competition “Emergenza” and they make it straight away to the finals. 20 best newcomer bands from all over the world play at Taubertal Festival in Rothenburg. A real kick- ass performance on the beloved stage. Over 70 shows all over Germany follow as a result of that big success.
Spring 2006 – the time to put their evolution to disc has come. They record the EP Silverside Alien Zoo at Maraton Studios. It is amazing how these boys mix elements of stoner – rock, hard – rock with garage – sound. In spite of different influences Lazuright creates its very own unique music. Any comparison to other bands is simply useless!
Summer 2006 – Southside Festival (45 000 visitors). The line up includes such famous bands like Muse, Eagles of Death Metal and Arctic Monkeys. Lazuright feels at home and grounds off a gigantic show that nearly sweeps people off the floor. 45 minutes of energy loaded rock.
If you haven’t heard their music yet you should definitely give it a try. You won’t regret it.
By the way, this is to all you mums and dads out there: you better keep your daughters locked up at home because these monkeys are on the run!!!
