Irish singing sensation Méav (formerly of Celtic Woman,) will soon be performing in the United States and bringing her special brand of holiday cheer to a handful of venues in both New York and New Hampshire this December. Singing many holiday classics as well tunes that reflect her love of traditional Irish music, Méav is sure to thrill audiences this Christmas season.

As a world class performer, Méav is no stranger to North American audiences. Her 2006 solo album “Celtic Journey” debuted in the top ten in Billboard’s World Music charts which prompted the recent re-release of her first solo album, “Celtic Woman Presents: Méav.” As a member of Celtic Woman from 2004 – 2007, Méav performed a number of exceptional solo tracks and was featured on all of the ensemble tracks. Her performances have been aired over 3400 times on PBS stations across the U.S. and earned recognition for Méav worldwide. Additionally, Méav played the role of Erin the Goddess in “Lord of the Dance” (South Africa) and was honored to have received a special invitation to perform with her own band in Korea and Japan where her singing is known as “healing music.”

Méav has also performed with a vast array of musical artists including Elvis Costello and the Chieftains with Anúna (the original Riverdance choir.) Now, with a multi-talented band of Irish musicians Méav is bringing her seasonal favorites (and the stories behind them,) to a performance that promises to be magical. This is a rare opportunity to hear her stunning live renditions of Silent Night and the timeless Danny Boy.
