The Silversun Pickups are getting a little makeover in time for the holiday season. With debut CARNAVAS (Dangerbird Records) still going strong, two of the album tracks have been remixed. The various revamped versions of radio hit “Lazy Eye,” as well as “Little Lovers So Polite,” are dance-floor ready compliments of the likes of Jimmy Tamborello (Postal Service), label mate The One AM Radio and KCRW’s Jason Bentley, among others.

The six-song EP is available digitally in the U.S. now, exclusive on iTunes, followed by the worldwide release December 18, also on iTunes. With newly added blips, bleeps and pulses, “Lazy Eye” takes on a new shape in four different versions, yet remains true to the original, melodies and Aubert’s distinct vocals intact. One version of “Little Lovers So Polite” integrates steady drumbeats into its electronic grooves while the other thumps with distorted vocals and heavy synthesizers.

A year after their acclaimed debut, the second radio single, “Well Thought Out Twinkles” continues to climb radio charts, this week jumping to #11 on the Modern Rock chart, poised to reach the Top 10. Silversun Pickups will end off their busy year with a handful of shows across the U.S.
