Internet radio/art collective expands archives and makes ambient, headphone-masterpiece available digitally.

Approaching their Proton Drive goal and celebrating their 8th anniversary, pioneering internet radio station DUBLAB is plenty pumped heading into 2008 with a new, more-functional website and a shift into nonprofit status. In appreciation of their 300,000+ listeners worldwide, DUBLAB will be steadily expanding their ever-growing archive of sonic gems in the upcoming weeks premiering an arsenal of live sessions from the disparate likes of Fog, MV & EE, Money Mark, Nosajthing, Adventure Time feat. Busdriver, Smegma, Hopewell, interviews with luminaries such as David Axelrod, and many more exciting podcasts sure to satisfy ears seeking the left-of-center.

More than simply podcasts and livestreams, the collective has extended their creative action to art exhibits, film projects, event production, record releases, and now re-releases. Six years after its initial release on Emperor Norton Records, DUBLAB is proud to announce the digital re-release of its first compilation album, “dublab presents: freeways.” This visionary collection, produced by frosty & Carlos Niño, gave the world an early taste of many, now-familiar artists and defined DUBLAB’s future roots aesthetic. “freeways” is an inspired view into Los Angeles’ vibrant musical landscape. It is a living time capsule that remains light years ahead.

The landscape presented on “freeways” is expansive. Glowing pockets of beauty from the wide sprawl of Los Angeles are merged into a unified spectrum. These diverse, progressive songs reflect every shade of creative California soul and provide a roadmap to infinite adventure. “dublab presents: freeways” continues to speed sweetly into the future.
