Pierce The Veil Begin Touring In Support of Album

PIERCE THE VEIL wrapped up a year of constant touring in 2007 and show no signs of slowing down as they kick off 2008 with tour plans that extend through the end of the summer.Â With a workload like this, it’s easy to see why Alternative Press has recently named PIERCE THE VEIL one of the 100 Bands To Know In ’08.

Before taking to the road, the band will shoot a video for their single â€“ as chosen by their fans in an online poll â€“ â€œYEAH BOY AND DOLL FACEâ€, in Los Angeles with director Nate Weaver (Static-X â€œDirthouseâ€, Jealous Sound â€œThe Fold Outâ€, Russell Simmons â€œIâ€™m Not A Modelâ€).

On the road, the band find themselves in the coveted support slot for Emeryâ€™s national headlining tour which kicks off January 29^th in Nashville, TN and wraps up March 22^nd in Greenville, SC. As Cities Burn and Mayday Parade will also be supporting the tour.Â

Shortly after, PIERCE THE VEIL will be appearing at Bamboozle Left on April 6^th in Irvine, CA â€“ not too far from the bandâ€™s hometown of San Diego, CA.Â Other confirmed performers include My Chemical Romance, All American Rejects, and Paramore.

The band will be packing up the RV again â€“ with lots of sunscreen â€“ as they take to the Hurley Stage on this summerâ€™s entire Vans Warped Tour.Â

PIERCE THE VEIL will be continuing to support their 2007 debut, A FLAIR FOR THE DRAMATIC, recorded with producer Casey Bates (Chiodos, Gatsbyâ€™s American Dream) and written/recorded entirely by brothers VIC FUENTES (vocals, guitar) and MIKE FUENTES (drums).Â The album has received an abundance of praise since its release; says Outburn, â€œWeâ€™ve been there, done that with the screamo thingâ€¦ Yet, Pierce The Veil manages to take their influences and fondness for screamoâ€™s vocal styling and hardcoreâ€™s hurried rhythms and tones it down with more melodic harmonies.â€Â Alternative Press advises the band, in regards to the song title â€œIâ€™D RATHER DIE THAN BE FAMOUSâ€: â€œBe careful what you wish forâ€¦ especially if you keep writing songs this good.â€
