Raves for Bon Iver:

“Irresistible.” – The New York Times

“The album is a ruminative collection of songs full of natural imagery and acoustic strums – the sound of a man left alone with his memories and a guitar…Rarely does folk – indie or otherwise – give so much over to ambience…” – RECOMMENDED by Pitchfork

“Vernon’s affected voice gives the tracks plenty of heft, and he shows what he can do with a larger arrangement on the moving “For Emma.”  For all its apparent weightlessness, this is one heavy debut.”

– Under the Radar

“His stunning breakthrough.” – Paste

“Songs like ‘The Wolves (Act I and II)’ and ‘Re: Stacks’ are as straightforward and pretty as Sam Beam’s Iron and Wine creations if they were sung by TV on the Radio’s soulful Tunde Adubimpe.” –
