Glass Houses #1 – Fourth Sized / 12 Pages / $1 or Trade / [email protected] Address on Request

This zine is incredibly short, but the art that is contained within, both in actual drawings and the the texts that aRRiel writes really leaves the person wanting more from ey. The non-textual art of the magazine is really expounded in another of aRRiel’s endeavours, that of the Dirty Girl Chronicles. If you are wondering exactly what her style entails, I couldn’t give you any similar artists. I’m not one that can just associate style in such a way. What I can say is that her style is very realistic while being laconic – that beer bottle on the cover looks like a beer bottle, but the label says “beer” without any embellishments. This runs contrary to aRRiel’s writing style, which ey’s friend Nate properly describes as “Like Kerouac or something”. Ey’s style is to describe things fully, enticing all readers to finish up the description to get the entire experience from what ey wrote. Send aRRiel some dollars or a good trade and ey will send you a ton of zines and be your friend forever. I should know. I sent ey a copy or two of NeuFutur, and I received no less than 7 different zines. Truly a class act among zinesters.
