Quiet Life is a candle with ecstatic wax and wick, modern burn and recycled light. Their blend of classic country/folk and indie/rock is one of the most genuine combinations being fused across modern America. Hailing from the whaling city of New London, Connecticut, these two brothers [Sean and Ryan Spellman] and two best friends [Craig Rupert and Paul Dutton] have all the sincerity of their great folk predecessors, influenced by the true honesty of American folk music and the raw expression of rock and roll’s forefathers. Four boys with the enthusiasm of a young Bruce Springsteen and an undying determination to be heard, anxious to stay true to the roots of rock and roll, while adding a flavor of the new.

Act Natural is their debut full length, a collection of songs which have been honed the past year by filling opening slots throughout the country for the likes of Matt Costa, Cold War Kids and Jason Isbell of the Drive By Truckers, as well as sharing stages with folks such as Dr Dog, Jesse Malin and Shout Out Louds. Act Natural is a trip of what indie rock should be, and Quiet Life is what a rock and roll band should be – tireless, wild-eyed boys with a van, a trailer, and many miles to go.

“Pleasant chord progressions, soft harmonies, and enough of a Southern wail to double check the band’s Connecticut address.” – Chattanooga Times Free Press
