HeartattaCk #50 / .50 / 1:00 / 80M / http://www.ebullition.com /

This is the last issue ever of HeartattaCk. Some of the writers from the zine are starting a new zine called “Give Me Back”, so keep an eye on that. But, nothing new in the way of issues of HeartattaCk will ever be released. So is this issue any good? Well, there is a lot of columns present here from individuals that are relating their experiences with HeartattaCk, but this section can be construed to go on a mite too long. The layout is okay, but for most of the issue there is a too-dark strip of background running through the pages, making it a chore to read the text in that block. Who in terms of band is covered in this issue? While Fucked Up seems to be a band that was pimped out heavily by the PR firms, some acts are not that established (Rhino Charge, Bullets In, Meth & Goats). There seems to be more in the way of advertising than in previous issues, but it may just be my perception. The most interesting column in this issue of HeartattaCk has to be the discussion about gentrification by ravilution, which gives a number of strong explanations for why whites should not move into POC (people of color) neighborhoods. Without properly explaining what the POC designation covers, the piece is nevertheless strong. The zine reviews section of this issue is huge, so individuals that wish to get back on the same page as some of the zinesters around will be treated to reviews of about 40-50 zines.
