Full size/64 pages-$2 in mail/free in real life This is 64 pages of pure gold in the bohemian version of the Progressive and the bastard poverty stricken version of Contrascience, this mag is what shows like 20/20 and magazines like Newsweek and Time should strive to be. Aside from the letters and editors note, the magazine starts up the leftist machine to make a very interesting yet too short discussion about the major problem of prison rape in the U.S. Prison System. Following this is another well-written article, this time on the bizarre agenda of the masses of people, placing petty before important things. After a few pages of ads, a discussion about the increasingly outmoded forms of energy, fossil fuels. The intelligence in federally propping up Amtrak is question by Michael Lynch, in his “Amtrak’s Big Trip”. An open attack on the religious goals of the more conservative Republicans, including their messiah George W. Bush, is the next article. In another truly hilarious cartoon, Keith Knight tells the masses to be nude! Yay! The mood quickly changes back to somber with a hard-hitting piece about stopping fish-farming. In the cover story, an award-deserving article by Elizabeth Moore entitle “Dissolving Bones and Cancer:The Chemical Industry Exposed”, various cover-ups by companies about harmful chemical policy are exposed , along with real-life victim testimony. In one of the more odd inclusions in the magazine, tons of record reviews are included, sandwhiced between the cover article and an expose on the raising of veal. More comics poke fun at everyday life, and a light-hearted rant called “ The Legislation of Common Sense” finishes off the magazine.
