There’s clearly no stopping Ari Gold as he gears up to release the maxi-single for “Where The Music Takes You.”  The infectious, feel-good song, written and produced by Gold and the production team >HitPlay, is the Overall Grand Prize Winner of the 12th Annual USA Songwriting Competition (as well as First Prize Winner in the Pop category). With a featured vocal by Sasha Allen (Camp, VH-1’s Born To Diva and currently a featured guest vocalist on Babyface’s national tour), plus 8 new remixes ready to go, the single is positioned to become a radio hit and the next club smash.

DJ/Producer Quentin Harris brings his signature dark and lovely soulfulness to the mix, while Dr. Brooks supplies both an ElektroFunk Club mix and a downtempo old-school piano driven pop mix sure to get people on their feet.  Randy Bettis of Betboyz and Jared Jones of Vibelicious speed up the bpm for that big room circuit sound while newcomer Jonathan Mendelsohn creates a fresh take on the house music we all loved in the 90’s.

Speaking of 90’s house music, the maxi-single is dedicated to one of the most legendary house and dance producers and songwriters of all time, David Cole (1962-1995).  In fact, the original version of “Where The Music Takes You” was mixed by Bob Rosa who was Cole’s right hand mixer and engineer for all his greatest hits.  “I kept telling Ari that I felt David’s spirit in the room with us when we were mixing the song,” says the 2x Grammy Award Winning mixer.  With a video already #1 on LOGO, “Where The Music Takes You” is bound to take music fans on a journey they’ll never forget.

“Where The Music Takes You: Maxi-Single” also includes the B-side, “Love Wasn’t Built In a Day” featuring multi-platinum Grammy nominated artist Dave Koz.  The song is an Independent Music Award Winner for Best R&B Song.  “Where The Music Takes You” and “Love Wasn’t Built In a Day” are taken from Ari Gold’s critically acclaimed album, Transport Systems.

What press and industry are saying about Ari Gold and his latest album Transport Systems:

“Ari wrote a very personal album and the lyrics attest to the battles that he’s been through…he writes from the heart”
CLIVE DAVIS

“Gold takes the listener to fresh places” PEOPLE Magazine

“Ari Gold combines everything we ever loved about Michael and Janet…and Transport Systems
is pretty much his Thriller–a musically and lyrically ambitious tour de force of modern sexuality, as concerned with turning heads as it is torsos.  Its the kind of exuberant soul boogie George Michael once made…and it gives us hope for the future of sexy pop”
INSTINCT Magazine
