Mark Brown & Micky Slim may not spring to mind as your perfect dance music tag team but for the next installment of Cr2’s Live & Direct series they have joined forces to bring you something a little different than the norm. Micky’s sets are all about the party and the bass, ensuring the dancefloor and atmosphere are electric and everyone is having the time of their life! Mark’s mix compliments by taking a deeper route and encompassing all genres of electronica whilst still ensuring that the energy levels do not drop!

Mark Brown is rolling in fresh from the charts with the success of his debut single ’The Journey Continues’ ft Sarah Cracknell of St. Etienne. He knows something about a hit or 2 too (he signed Fedde Le Grand & David Guetta vs The Egg) – his broad musical knowledge is second to none and is obvious in the way he fuses all manner of electronica in his mix – from acid house aficionados FC Kahuna’s ‘Machine Says Yes’ to a the more techy sounds of Pryda’s ‘F12’ merged with John Dahlback’s ‘Pyramid’ while not forgetting his house roots with Mathew Tanzmann ‘Rugby’. Mark is also one half of M.Y.N.C Project who are having a years hiatus while they concentrate on their own projects – this has allowed Mark to concentrate on his own DJ’ing and has been infecting the dancefloors with his sheer energy worldwide plus has been in the studio working on some new material.

2007 was definitely one of the biggest years for this bad-boy of Electro Dubby house – the  success of his remix of House of Pain’s ’Jump Around’, released on Warner’s, was far reaching and named tune of the year by the legend that is Fatboy Slim. Other remixes include licks from the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Fedde Le Grand, Brothers Bud, Rene Amesz, Chris Lake and Henrik B. If you want a phat bass on the dancefloor, then Micky is the man that will deliver – his sets have you bouncing off the walls with sweat dripping off the ceiling, and his mix for Cr2 is proof in the pudding. Try and sit still while its on, I dare you…

Disc 3 is an UN-MIXED CD featuring 6 tracks from the mixes which is great for you DJs out there! There will also be an exclusive track by Mark and Micky and will only be available on this compilation.

The 4th instalment in the Live & Direct series will be supported by a Worldwide tour that begins in the UK in May. Dates and information can be found online at www.myspace.com/markbrownmickyslim. Make sure you don’t miss out on what is destined to be a classic compilation.
