This zine I had been waiting for for entirely too long (or what felt like too long since I was really looking forward to getting it) finally came in the mail today. The zine reads a lot like a sitcom, with different events that are almost all totally independent of each other. The zine doesn’t really go into a psychological breakdown of Jami, and I am really thankful of that. It just relates a number of different events that she has been to, and really leaves behind a lot of the baggage that really is present in a lot of different zines today. Also, the pc-dom that pervades pretty much every magazine out on the magazine is also taken from this magazine and replaced by sheer meanness. And this makes the zine really fun, more fun than most of the zines that I’ve had the pleasure to read in the last few months. All the relationing of drunken incidents and being in bands really strikes home for me, and makes me connect myself with Jami on some sort of mental bond. For a zine that is so small, there is really a lot to read in this magazine, and I think that is one of the reasons why the magazine is so well liked by her readers.
