The Ting Tings are an act that are still gaining prominence in their native United kingdom, and have not really reached American shores as of yet. “Great DJ†is their third single (after “That’s Not My Name†and “Fruit Machineâ€), and blends together electronic music with a pop singer. The track does not go as far as to approach a dance style, but has an older, almost ABBA-like arrangement to the track. This blend of guitar and synthesizers and sequencers will likely Increase the number of individuals that can appreciate this track. This single comes with two different remixes – one from Calvin Harris and the “7th Heaven Radio Remixâ€. While the latter mix closely approximates the original one, the Calvin Harris one is destined for the dance floor. The stretched-out approach to this track changes the overall sound of the track, making it into something that surpasses even the original track.
