Recluse Zine #7 – Issue by issue, this zine has gotten better and better. The pieces all mesh together with the proper mix of personality and politics. Highlights of this issue include the detailing of the 2002 incarnation of the Underground Publishing Conference, as well as enlightening the masses about the atrocities committed in the name of entertainment at the circus. Jill and Chris are even talent enough to do some shameless self-promotion, in that they include an interview with their distribution center, Knucklehead, right in the centerfold of the magazine. Recluse is one of the only zines that can use practically the same font for the entirety of the magazine without causing its’ readers eyes to atrophy and fall out. A strong issue, which only is succeeded by its followup, the February issue.
