The Hard Lessons announce the release of ‘B&G Sides’, which will be a sweetly packed box set of Volumes 1-4 due out July 22 on the Quack Media label. Hailing from the Motor City where they were named Artist Of The Year by Real Detroit, Augie, Koko Louise and The Anvil shined at this year’s SXSW fest where they played Spin’s party at Stubbs alongside some much-written-about acts, prompting the press to later write, “Vampire Weekend’s greatness was quickly overshadowed by The Hard Lessons, who were energetic and clearly not following the latest trends” (Undercover) and “Vampire who?” (Austin360). True, their live show is outstanding and The Hard Lessons make legions of new fans nightly while on the road, but the response to early listens from ‘B&G Sides’ tracks has also been fantastic, urging SPIN to call it “A racy bash and crash groove, laden in guitar and vocal hooks”

Someone once wrote, “if you breathe, you will like The Hard Lessons.” We feel that’s entirely accurate. Go see them on tour now, and keep your eyes and ears open for more news and tour dates. You can watch the video for the single “See And Be Scene” as well as live performances: http://www.thehardlessons.com/index2.php?sec=media
