When we think of the term Pop Music there are two distinct thoughts that come to our minds, it makes you want to dance (and is a guilty pleasure that lives in your iPod) or it has a powerful meaning that tends to live and radiate with us for the majority of our lives. Is it possible to saddle these two different trains of thought and marry the two into one great piece of music? Yes, yes it is. These were the thoughts and intentions of Val Emmich when heading into the studio to record his newest album Little Daggers. He achieves this delicate balance by creating songs that can cut like a knife, or according to Val “little pricks of feeling,” but are accessible and catchy. A multi-faceted artist, Val not only wrote and played nearly every song on this album but has been a working actor for nearly eight years and has just completed his fist novel. I hope that you enjoy Val’s juxtaposed world of cutting lyrics that will make you bob your head, just be careful not to get hurt! Photos and bio are attached. Please fee free to hit me up for interviews and any more info. Tour dates coming soon!
