The Dandy Warhols’ sixth LP, Earth To The Dandy Warhols, is set for
release on August 19, 2008, via their label, Beat The World Records.
This month the Dandys are playing four shows in the Pacific Northwest,
with European festival dates to follow in July, and a fall North
American tour to kick off in September. For the June dates,
Beat The World artists the Upsidedown and Monstrous are the special
guests.

From the Some Girls-era Rolling Stones-meets-Talking Heads “Welcome
To The Third World,” to “The Legend Of The Last Of The Outlaw Truckers
AKA The Ballad Of Sheriff Shorty,” a 21st century take on outlaw
country that has Courtney Taylor-Taylor growling melodically over
dusty guitar riffs, the album is pleasure of a ride that allows you
to fully settle down into it while still keeping you on your toes.
The band reached out to their friends, too, inviting Dire Strait’s
Mark Knopfler and the Heartbreakers’ guitarist Mike Campbell to join
in on the rollicking “Love Song.”

The Dandys treated fans to the party-starting opener “The World Come
On” on May 5th, in conjunction with the re-launch of their website,
through which fans also can get an early jump on the album + extras
through a digital subscription service (launched May 19th).
