Satan’s Panties #6 / $1 / 24 Pages / Half-Sized / Trade / [email protected] Alli / P.O. Box 761 / Mountain View, CA

This zine has some of the most hard to read and light font’s that I have ever seen. That doesn’t stop it from being a very humourous and well-written magazine that forced me through its twenty-four pages just as a cashier forces customers through a line. #6 really focuses on Alli’s taking back of eir’s Starbucks job to make up some cash flow that had been lost in eir’s first job. By far the funniest piece in the magazine is a mock rules of conduct for the customers of Starbucks, but that is just placing one piece at the top of the heap of amazing pieces. Towards the end of the magazine, the mood shifts and the reader is left with some poetry, another list: “The 13 Days of Becoming”, and cutouts from an ice-breaking game. Even though the general mood might change with the format of the pieces, the general theme of becoming and experience still shines through. And hey, unlike most of the zines on the market today, Alli actually affixes pictures of eirself to each issue, so buy the magazine just for that!
