From Detroit to Paris, Austin to Greece, New York to San Francisco, Dante built his game up in the Detroit Hip Hop scene, took it to the US, and now the world. With his solo debut complete in 2007, Dante made noise from Detroit through the US and to the world with his signature delivery and perspective on life in the US and Hip Hop today, all without proper label support or distribution.

The MC (Dante LaSalle Dauminque Tucker) is a hard-working, independent rapper from Detroit. Having gone from the mainstage at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival to the the Warped Tour, Dante has been performing all over since first stepping on stage in 1998, including shows with KRS-1, Afrika Bambaataa, Kool Herc, Aphex Twin, Method Man, El-P, Atmosphere, Aesop Rock, Mos Def, Ghostface, D12, Immortal Technique, Sage Francis, Brother Ali, Blackalicious as well as opening for Ice Cube at the 2007 SXSW in Austin. He will rhyme over anything whether it’s a classic era hip hop beat or the latest single by The White Stripes or Prince and make sure everyone in the crowd feels his presence.

Roaming Empire is Dante’s debut solo LP, which will be released internationally on his own Havoc Pro imprint via IRIS Distribution July 15th. The record peaked at #2 on the CMJ HIp Hop charts and stayed in the Top 5 for weeks. The unique perspective this man brings is extraordinary; whether it be the sheer honesty of anthem and album single “Tucker Stomp”, the fresh flow and hook of “Squawk & Roll” or the jazz undertones of “Bouncers”, this album will stand out to the lovers of from the heart songwriting and independent hip hop.

Currently, Dante is preparing to mount up for the Warped Tour and a premiere of his video for “Tucker Stomp” (shot on 2 Red One camera’s in Detroit this spring) off of the album and is also supporting the release of Roaming Empire with a mixtape titled The FixTape II: Still Broke featuring drops from Stones Throw’s Guilty Simpson, Atmosphere’s Slug and more…People who know are ready for the record, are you? 100’s of hip hop DJs all over the world and your mother agree – You Need To Listen To Dante Rap.

“Dante [keeps] that real hip hop s#@t raw, just like I like it.” Guilty Simpson (Stones Throw)

“The cockiest underdog in Michigan hip hop … released the most original hip hop album in a long time … there is no stopping this man…” – DetroitRap.com
