MASON PROPER COME OUT OF HIDING WITH SOPHOMORE LP, OLLY OXEN FREE, DUE SEPTEMBER 23

Eclectic and ambitious as ever, Mason Proper returns from the trenches with their sophomore full-length LP, Olly Oxen Free, due September 23 via Dovecote Records (Ed Harcourt, Tim Williams). Like the childhood phrase it’s named after, the LP sparkles with a youthful exuberance but never veers too far from the band’s trademark territory of the dark and deranged.

Freshkills Set To Release Album in September.

Freshkills – yes, one word – are a five-piece tour guide to the lives, awkward conversations and head games that play out deep into the night in New York City’s dark bars and messy bedrooms.  Each protagonist is motivated by sordid appetites, like moths attracted to blackness.  Each song has the sound and feel of a mini-apocalypse.
