So This is It #2 / .50 / Fourth-Sized / 24 Pages / Eve, 4110 Hollybrook Ln, Houston, TX 77039 /

This zine is purely a set of journal entries from the month around Christmas, and what happens to Eve during those time. We are slightly exposed to Eve’s friends and family, but pretty much only learn about the actions of the star person eirself. As for layout, the zine is put together in Eve’s hand, which is pretty messy and hard to read at times, and cut off by the printer lines at others. Detailing only the most specific happenings in Eve’s life, So This Is It is pretty just concerned on a few events. Sure, Eve includes childish (eir’s own terms) drawings that were made in class with eir’s left hand. The crux of the zine comes with the emotional drama that happens around Christmas, especially with the celebration of Eve’s family (and the fact that ey’s ex-Aunt doesn’t bring over eir’s children until after Christmas), the Christmas mass, and the later buying of presents from Dollar General. Some of Eve’s layout is a tad irking, especially the spiraling text that just begs to make someone dizzy. Still, if a reader has any desire to go and learn all about Eve’s life, So This Is It is it!
