The Pleiades #2 – 52 pages – 1/4th size – I don’t know what to say about this magazine. I love it, and It is so stream-of-consciousness, but not about the same happening over and over. This draws you away from reality and puts you into a whole new world, where the words written by Miranda echo in your ears and you experience all that is said and more. The background pictures break up the tedium that threatens all narratives like this, and the mind barely notices the pictures but knows that they are there. This zine doesn’t help me understand Miranda at all, but it does cause me to relieve other experiences. I believe that this is the point of the zine. The only thing one has to cling onto about Miranda are the pictures that are at the beginning of the magazine, which are primarily of her childhood. The pictures, while few, actually cover mainly all of the narratice that is laid out by Miranda. The younger pictures can be of any age around five to nine, and the newer pictures tie in directly with some of the pieces taking place in more of the current. Please buy this zine, as it is truly amazing, from Miranda Celeste, n.5819 Vista LN, Spokane, WA 99212, USA.
