This November, BBC Videoâ„¢ introduces to DVD the next step in the evolution of science fiction with the highly anticipated release of the four-disc box set — Primeval: Volume One. From the creators of the Emmy® Award-winning documentary series, Walking With Dinosaurs, this groundbreaking BBC AMERICA series fuses heart-pounding action, engrossing storylines and cutting-edge special effects to reveal a modern world threatened by prehistoric predators.

Primeval: Volume One arrives at retail on November 4, 2008 — just three days after the final episode airs on BBC AMERICA — for the suggested retail price of $49.98 ($62.48 in Canada). The fully-loaded 4-disc box set features 13 episodes along with bonus material, which is listed below.

SYNOPSIS
Created by Tim Haines (Walking With Dinosaurs) and Adrian Hodges (Rome, The Lost World), Primeval follows Professor Nick Cutter (Douglas Henshall, It’s All About Love) and his team — Stephen (James Murray), Connor (Andrew-Lee Potts) and Abby (Hannah Spearritt) — as they are brought in to investigate the source of anomalies that are allowing terrifying creatures to roam the modern world. These creatures are ferocious, endearing, puzzling and all do not belong in this time. Professor Cutter and his team struggle to keep the looming disaster secret while dealing with savage dinosaurs, giant insects, prehistoric parasites and other foes from the wildest periods of natural history.
