Bang Camaro have another offering to start the fall off rockin’ with a new track entitled ‘Miss Illusion.’ August 28th marked the momentous occasion of the re-launch of ‘Camaro Thursdays,’ which will see the band release a new track digitally every other Thursday through October. The first track released: ‘Night Lies’, resulted in the band’s MySpace page plays more than quadrupling. The tracks will be available for streaming on www.MySpace.com/bangcamaro and for purchase at: www.cdfreedom.com/bangcamaro, www.bangcamaro.com, and iTunes.

To further spread the gospel of Bang Camaro, they are hitting the road on their Rock Stars Small Bars Tour 2008. Ourstage.com has a chance for fans to enter a competition to see if they have what it takes to perform onstage as part of Bang Camaro’s Choir in select U.S. cities. Contestants need to upload a video of themselves singing 30 seconds of Bang Camaro’s song “Pleasure (Pleasure)“ and could be selected by the band to perform in the Bang Camaro Choir at a show on their fall tour! Up to 3 people will be selected to join the choir on the Bang Camaro Rock Stars Small Bars Tour.

Formed by Alex Necochea and Bryn Bennett, the philosophy behind Bang Camaro was to focus on the big anthemic choruses and screaming guitar solos reminiscent of 80’s era metal. What brings the band into the new millenium is the decision to ditch the overdubs and create their huge vocals and distinct harmonies using a choir of 10-20 singers. The end result is just that: big and bombastic whether in the studio or the live show which has been described as “Headbanger’s Ball meets the Polyphonic Spree” by their hometown paper The Boston Phoenix. The band have been featured prominently in some of the most popular video games to hit the market recently including but not limited to: Guitar Hero II, Rock Band and the hotly anticipated Rock Band II.

The band have been playing select shows including a slot at this year’s Lollapalooza festival where they had one of the most rocking opening sets the festival ever saw ending up on the cover of the Chicago Sun Times and in just about every critics opening paragraph including the Chicago Tribune:

“It’s not even noon and Lollapalooza 2008 has already gone off with a Bang Camaro. The Boston-based metal group, which sports four guitarists and no less than 10 singers, looks and sounds like a gospel choir in service to el diablo. “
