Leading independent home entertainment studio, MTI Home Video has acquired the star-studded heist movie of the year – FORFEIT, with plans to release it on DVD October 21, 2008. The film stars Billy Burke (Untraceable, Fracture), Sherry Stringfield (ER, 54) Gregory Itzin (24), and Wayne Knight (Seinfeld, Jurassic Park).

Frank O’Neal (Burke), a religious sociopath, returns to L.A. years after killing his abusive father and attempts to reunite with his old girlfriend. Driven by revenge against those who wronged him in the past, Frank schemes the perfect heist and the ultimate vengeance. However, his obsession with an overbearing televangelist threatens the perfect crime and brings him to the edge of self-destruction.

FORFEIT was in competition and screened at 33 Film Festivals, with its premiere at SXSW. It won the Best Feature Film at Flint Film Festival, and the 2007 Spirit Award at the California Independent Film Festival, as well as Best Feature Film at Twin Rivers Media, Best Actor for Billy Burke at the Montana Independent Film Festival, and Best Feature Film at Eugene International Film Festival.
FORFEIT was written and produced by John Rafter Lee (Breathing Hard), directed and produced by Andrew Shea (The Corndog Man, Santa Fe), with Sherri James (Somebody Help Me, Available Men) and Carol Ann Shine (Noah’s Arc, Punks, The Girl’s Room) also producing.
DVD features include: 4×3 Letterbox Format, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound, Filmmaker’s Commentary, Making of “FORFEIT,” Cast and Crew Biographies, Interactive Menus, Scene Selection, Trailers and Optional Spanish Subtitles.
