This magazine is a skinhead/rac publication that has a lot of space, with a large font to comfortably read the text unlike in my mag. Interviews with H8machine, Bully Boys, Agressive Force and Hang em High Records provide a good base for the magazine, which is further fleshed out with a Editorial, 2 show reviews, a fiction story, and cool music reviews. Another interesting thing the Y&P does that I don’t see many magazines out right now doing is actually finishing the non-ad part of the magazine with two pages of pictures of Skinheads. A serious plus that I am giving to the magazine is the extreme crispness of the pictures, a point that was made clear by the editor (who kicks ass for trading with me anyways). He is able to intersperse pictures into the text without having any blank space, another masterful skill to have. The questions for the interviews are all carefully written and actually are tailored specifically for each band. Aside from Skrewdriver and a few other bands that are covered in the magazine gets major points for actually bringing new bands to attention besides the same 5 indy punk acts every other magazine seems to cream over. Just the way the editor writes is something to take notice of, as his style is extremely humane and just expresses the working white class. “Street Stories” is just a fucked up story that reads like a messed up skinhead sitcom. The cover art for the Platoon Fourteen album featured in the Hang’em High Records interview reveals two of the two most impressive looking people that I have ever seen. Reviews of CD’s in this magazine are great again for the fact that I haven’t heart of any of the acts, and it is interesting to see a member of a group review a band that holds the exact opposite views. Hopefully this zine stays together and keeps gaining support. I’d really hate to see a great work like this fold. For a copy send $4 or so to U&P, PO Box 811, Richmond Texas 77406 USA
