Cracked teenage geniuses I Set My Friends On Fire are heading out on their first US tour with Karate High School and You, Me & Everyone We Know.

ISMFOF have caused quite a stir with their Epitaph debut You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter, which came out last week. Critics are equal parts amused, confused and enthused, but the band’s young fans are overwhelmingly ecstatic: “new songs are aaaaaaaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing,” “man ur new album is amazingly brutal,” “i love you passionately :]” and “so i just bought your album today and i f’ing love you…seriously.”

I Set My Friends On Fire burst on the scene with an inspired grindcore cover of Soulja Boy’s “Crank That” which set their Myspace page ablaze and caught the attention of Epitaph president Brett Gurewitz. Mixing electronica, grind and hardcore with some of the wittiest lyrics this side of Oscar Wilde’s grave, ISMFOF are wholly original and always controversial.
