Living Things Habeas Corpus Coming Early 2009

“The three Berlin brothers and one friend still churn out rough-edged rock with strong lyrical messages and pop sensibility.” – SPIN

The political garage-rock quartet discuss their forthcoming record with an exclusive video on SPIN directed by Floria Sigismondi. Watch the band discuss Habeas Corpus creation and unveil song snippets, plus stream the single “Let It Rain.” Fashion fans may recognize them from the Cavalli ads they’re currently in along side the illustrious Kate Moss.

“Lillian Berlin is Johnny Rotten with politics. His art would be nothing without his rage; he is possessed by the need to get his point across that he grabs his brothers’ music by the throat and makes it bellow his tune…”
– Village Voice

“Living Things are a band of fighters determined to make us all feel like winners” – Rolling Stone

Living Things are based in St. Louis, Missouri featuring brothers; Lillian, Eve, and Bosh Berlin, and their friend Cory Becker. Their songs have politically driven lyrics. Their major label debut Ahead of the Lions released October 4, 2005. It’s first single “Bom Bom Bom” was featured in a Cingular commercial promoting an iTunes-compatible phone. It is a band of brothers Lillian, Eve and Bosh Berlin, who were born and raised in the socially conservative St. Louis suburbs. They’ve been playing together since they were kids performing early versions of Ahead Of The Lions tracks. The album was recorded by the Steve Albini (Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Pixies) and produced by Living Things in Feb 2005. The forthcoming album Habeas Corpus is produced by Michael Ilbert (The Hives, The Hellacopters) and Living Things. Recorded and mixed at Hansa Ton Studio, Berlin, Germany. Living Things are distinguished, in part, by their lyrics, written by Lillian, the band’s chief provocateur.
