Keeping with a tradition of signing bands that we can’t possibly find a suitable genre to use to describe, Greyday Records are tickled pink (what does that even mean?) to announce that they will be responsible for the next release from Portland’s Modernstate! Modernstate (aka Sam Schauer) have released two albums with local label Lucky Madison and have recently completed a week of dates in the NW with Chicago’s Heligoats. For more info on the band, you can check out their Myspace page or check back with us in the coming weeks, as we’ll be adding a band page and press info to the press page as soon as we can.

Modernstate’s new album title, length, tracklist, and format are all a mystery at the moment (even to us!) but we will get you more info as it comes in. The record is slated for Spring 2009.
