A5, trade and 32 pages on newsprint. TWWBAMBPIEWERP (or WIPE as I will call the magazine from now on) contains a lively sense of humor, something the major zines have lost in the search for pc-correctness. “When You’re Bored” is an excellent way to start off this magazine. An interview with Reel Big Fish is the next article, which is truly odd because RBF haven’t did anything for a few years (Basketball, covering the A-Ha’s “Take on Me” was their last hi). As is mentioned earlier in the magazine, it is published semi-annually which explains the appearance of a review for a show that occurred in November of 2000. In a totally innovative style of article, the editor of WIPE has made a contest for people to positively identify random men that they took pictures of. The printing in this magazine is pretty rough, but really only comes into p[lay on picture-heavy advertisements. Major label releases are mixed with acts that I’ve never heard of to make a overally more successful set of reviews. A conversation (possibly on a chat room) details the personal lives of different sitcom stars. “Dating Tips For Rachel” is a stream of consciousness rant that is truly bizarre to say the least. In perfect harmony with the prior article, the classifieds are the most frightening that I believe that I have ever read. In Stuff-magazine style, various questions are answered about any topic. A very interesting article follows about the mullet, perfect except for the extended length of the work (4 page). A fat Christian is ranted about in a very funny way, which is immediately followed by a Weezer show review and a list of the worst albums of all time, of which is have all five. Yay!. In the final page of the magazine that is not an ad or a wrap up, various little notes are listed that really make you think. Send $1 to PO Box 577, St James, NY 11780
