Universal Republic juggernaut 3 Doors Down is set to bring their chart-topping success to 1 Cardinals Way for halftime of the NFC wildcard playoff game. The Atlanta Falcons will meet the Cardinals for Arizona’s home-field playoff advantage, the first in sixty-one years. Game day is Saturday, January 3rd. The Mississippi/Nashville rockers are set to take over the University of Phoenix stadium to entertain a capacity crowd of 63,000 NFL fans in Glendale, Arizona next weekend.

In addition to the halftime performance, lead singer Brad Arnold will be singing the National Anthem to commence the NFC match up.

3 Doors Down has appeared at a number of NFL, MLB, NASCAR and other sporting events, entertaining audiences around the globe.

They will also be continuing their nationwide tour in early 2009. The band will be performing a slew of new songs on the trek culled from their smash self-titled album 3 Doors Down. The CD topped the Billboard Top 200 album chart and the coveted iTunes Album chart during its opening week in late May, and has gone on to become one of the most consistent rock bestsellers of 2008.

The new album has also snagged rave reviews, with the Associated Press affirming that ‘3 Doors Down has offered the strongest collection of their career.’

The band’s second single from the album, “Train” received a warm welcome at Rock radio, and the armed forces tribute “Citizen/Soldier” is now being added in heavy rotation to Rock radio with the music video showing in movie theatres nationwide.

3 Doors Down also recently appeared in Duluth, GA and their performance of “Citizen/Soldier” will be aired around the world on CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin. It will be shown in the U.S. between 11pm and 12:30am ET. It will also be televised in the same time slot on the West Coast.

The melodic/tough-around-the-edges band first thundered onto the rock scene at the top of the decade, redefining the music landscape with their across-the-board smash hit “Kryptonite.” 3 Doors Down has sold an impressive 15 million albums (worldwide). With seven #1 singles to their credit they continue to perform to sold-out audiences in the U.S. and Europe.
